Edgar Cayce prophesied the reappearance of the drowned
civilization of Atlantis would begin in the late 1960s with more discoveries
to come around the end of the century. The first part of that prophecy,
many believed, had been fulfilled in 1968 when Dr. Manson Valentine discovered
an underwater pavement near Bimini. Since, a great deal of other evidence
has been produced.
William Donato, M.A., a leading researcher in the
project, will present that evidence to The Eclectic Viewpoint March 22.
Few subjects have so fascinated mankind — the stronger
the evidence becomes, the more vehement academic denials — and, the more
that is known, the greater the enigma. It is a profound subject. It is
our kind of subject.
Could new discoveries vindicate more than thirty
years of intense research? Aerial and underwater photography, side scan
sonar surveys, analysis of samples taken by dive teams and ongoing discoveries
of man made structures, roads and other anomalies under the waters of the
Caribbean are all parts of the puzzle that may soon answer many important
questions about man's history on this planet.
When the Pleistocene glaciers melted, sea levels
rose at least 320 feet. There was renewed volcanic activity. Areas now
beneath the sea were on the surface. The Bahamas was virtually thousands
of square miles of dry land. So, there were large land masses in the Atlantic
Ocean prior to the tenth millennium B.C. And, about 10,000 B.C., cataclysmic
events caused the surface to submerge.
If evidence could be found to show an advanced human
culture existed prior to this time, it would support the legend begun with
Plato's description of Atlantis. Do the numerous unnatural anomalies found
in this area, and to be illustrated with slides, prove that such a culture
existed?
Come judge for yourself. And, judge whether Edgar
Cayce's prophesy has been fulfilled. Then, the following evening, at our
potluck dinner, reflect with Bill Donato and others this question, "If
mainstream science propounded the existence of Atlantis, what other doors
of knowledge would open?"
