The Eclectic Viewpoint, LLC proudly presents Mr.
Wayne May, publisher of Ancient American Magazine. He will present
slides of evidence of visits to the Americas thousands of years before
Columbus.
The purposes of Ancient American are: to describe
the true prehistory of the American continent, regardless of presently
fashionable belief systems; provide a public forum for certified experts
and non-professionals alike to freely express their views without fear
or favor; and to educate and inform the avocational, or amateur, archaeologist
on the sites and discoveries made throughout the Western Hemisphere.
Many letters come to his attention asking for his
insight on many subjects. It is because of those very requests that Mr.
May has begun to lecture, taking his knowledge to the people first-hand.
His talks are up-beat, spirited and altogether extraordinary. Filled with
stories, factual information, and indian lore, his lectures are capped
with an excellent series of slides. Seeing the actual sites with their
temple structures, caves, and effigy mounds will enable student and faculty
alike to better understand and appreciate our ancient American heritage.
The series is designed to enhance an ancient history
class, or add another dimension to the beginning of an American history
unit. B.C., or Before Columbus deals with the factual finds of people who
were here, in the Americas, before Columbus even thought of his voyage
to the West. Phoenicians, Egyptians, Vikings, the Inca and Maya, Japanese,
and Chinese, to name but a few, have left their calling cards scattered
along both coastlines. But now pieces of their pottery, coinage, skeletal
remains and other grave goods are slowly, but constantly being excavated
all across the continent.
Wayne May is currently publisher of Ancient American
Magazine which is in its 8th year of publication with a circulation
of 12,500. The Ancient American can be found in Barnes&Noble,
Borders, Tower Records, Hastings, Little Professor and many fine independent
book and magazine stores. Wayne is married to Kristine Kay Meyer for 31
years, father of 7 children.
